Amity Circle Tree Ranch has been sought out when other drug treatment rehabilitation programs, clinics, counselors and psychiatrists were unable to help individuals stop the substance abuse, the self-destructive behavior, the selfishness, the pain, the devastation, and downward spiral of the drug addicted life.
Since the early 1980’s, Amity Circle Tree Ranch has evolved the traditional therapeutic community to be an environment that is physically and psychologically safe for both women and men, and an environment where parents in recovery can bring their young children. Circle Tree Ranch is unique and stands apart from other drug rehab programs in that we welcome parents with young children, women who are pregnant, couples, and families. We believe people can change in an environment that fosters trust, where new values can be formed, and where responsibility is developed by teaching people the ability to respond. Springtime is possible for those who have lived in the “winter” of addiction and alienation.
Circle Tree Ranch utilizes the Extensions Curriculum, a holistic approach to addiction treatment services authored by Naya Arbiter and Fernando Mendez. The Extensions curriculum represents six decades of cumulative work with Therapeutic Communities, and enables the recovering clients (students) to become enthusiastic participants in their own evolution. Throughout the curriculum, students study topics including family dynamics, trauma, prejudice, violence, individual strengths, moral development and emotional literacy. Students identify the under-lying issues that contribute to their substance abuse, the negative emotional reflexes that they developed which promote relapse, and learn antidote messages and behavioral patterns to practice which expand both mind and spirit.
Twenty-five Years of Research on alcohol and drug abuse treatment has consistently shown that longer length of stay in treatment is directly related to better treatment outcomes. Individuals with chronic, serious, substance abuse histories need long – term, inpatient rehabilitation treatment to obtain full recovery.
With over 35 years providing drug addiction rehabilitation services, the faculty at Amity Circle Tree Ranch is compassionate toward and committed to those individuals who have tried other drug rehabilitation and substance abuse treatment settings without success. As each person is unique, so are their treatment needs. With this in mind, Circle Tree Ranch offers residential alcohol and drug treatment courses ranging from 49 days to 14 months or longer. |
