We also dedicate our time to education and providing resources to the professionals dedicated to working in the field of substance abuse.

Recognized for her pioneering work in the area of women's issues, Dr. Covington specializes in the development and implementation of gender-responsive services. She has conducted seminars worldwide on addiction, sexuality, families, and relationships for health professionals, business and community organizations, and recovery groups. The seminars, both practical and sensitive in approach, provide professionals with a valuable opportunity to learn new skills for dealing with personal, institutional, and societal changes as we move into the twenty-first century.

Amity Foundationis a non-profit corporation dedicated to rehabilitate and restore personal dignity to the lives of substance abusers such as, addicted mothers and their children, homeless substance abusers, victims of violence, children at high risk of becoming addicted, criminal gang members and incarcerated substance abusers. The Amity Foundation provides an array of services based on the Therapeutic Community model in a variety of physical settings. In general the services provided for Amity participants contain individual and group therapies that are specialized according to the actual setting and recipient of the activities.
